Our MissionIt is our priority to provide clients with quality, locally sourced and beautifully presented top tier gifts they feel good about giving and equally well received. Our small team prides ourselves on astute, professional service and quality ... always quality! No junk - not ever! We love the joy gift giving brings to peoples lives. Combined with our dedication of supporting local and Indigenous producers, we say, this has been a match made in (Van Isle) heaven! We are a woman owned & operated business. |
Keeping it LocalWe curate local, unique, premium quality, handcrafted delicacies & artisan gifts from the best sources. Some of these treasures often cannot be found 'on the shelf'. We research, listen to what the 'foodies' and chefs are talking about and visit farmers markets for artisan made, handcrafted & producer direct goods. All our products are fabulous, some truly spectacular and many are even hand delivered to us by the producers. Let's face it, it's a big world and there are lots of unique products afar! However, to walk gently on this planet and to support local economies, the vast majority of our products are sourced locally. That means right here in BC. We have an inventory of over 180 products and varieties in stock! |
Our RootsGiGi's began in 1989 as a project of love between two sisters in Sidney, BC. Yeah, before some of you were even a twinkle in your parents eye! After their retirement, GiGi's changed hands twice. Once to Fort St. and then Chemainus for a brief stint. And that is where we stumbled in! In 2015 GiGi's moved to Colwood where we have been ever since. Initially purchased as an interim 'get back in the entrepreneurial saddle' after a three year hiatus, GiGi's has become a thriving, exciting and rewarding endeavor. In 2017 we added our sister company: Vancouver Island Gift Basket Co. - shippable gift boxes to help spread the ❤️ throughout Canada. |
